Notification Preferences

This page explains the different preferences of notifications available in the system and how each one helps you stay informed about important activities. From bot requests and conversation updates, each notification type is designed to ensure you never miss critical updates and can respond at the right time through your preferred delivery channels.

Sound & Desktop

Customize how you receive real-time alerts to match your workflow and environment.

Supported Events

Sound and desktop notifications are available for real-time, attention-critical events, including:

  • New incoming messages
  • Bot requests for agent assistance
  • Conversation transfer requests

For chats added to your watchlist, only sound notifications are available (desktop notifications are not supported).

Sound Notifications

Control how your alerts sound:

  • Enable or disable sound notifications
  • Choose a notification sound for each event
  • Adjust the volume level

Desktop Notifications

Stay informed with on-screen alerts:

  • Enable or disable desktop notifications for supported events

Desktop notifications appear as on-screen pop-ups, allowing you to quickly notice and respond without actively viewing the application.

Below is an example of the desktop notification you will receive when the New Message notification is enabled:

To receive desktop notifications, make sure you have enabled notifications in both your browser and your device's system settings.


Email & In-App

Stay updated on important activities by choosing how notifications are delivered to you.

📬 Delivery Channels

For each notification, you can select your preferred delivery method:

  • Email – Receive notifications directly in your inbox
  • In-app notifications – Receive and view real-time updates directly within the Askyura dashboard notification panel
  • Both email and in-app – Stay updated across both channels

Below is an example of the email notification you will receive when the Conversation Unanswered Reminder notification is enabled:

Below is an example of an in-app notification in Askyura. You can access these notifications from the Notification panel by clicking the notification icon in the sidebar. Clicking a notification will redirect you to the relevant conversation for quick follow-up.
