Diagnostic Logs
Introduction
Diagnostic Logs let you capture technical details about your current session — such as console errors and failed requests — and download them as a file you can share with the AskYura support team.
This removes the need to manually open your browser's DevTools, dig through the console and network tabs, and copy the relevant details by hand whenever something goes wrong. Instead, you can download a ready-to-share file in a single click.
Common Use Cases
Diagnostic Logs are useful when:
- Something goes wrong while using AskYura and you want to report it to support quickly.
- The dashboard fails to load or needs a refresh, and you want to capture what happened before reloading.
- AskYura is stuck reconnecting and you want to send diagnostics to support while waiting.
Where to Access Diagnostic Logs
AskYura surfaces a Download Logs action in several places, so you can capture diagnostics wherever an issue occurs.
1. From the Account Menu
This entry point is always available, even if nothing has gone wrong.
Go to:
Click your profile avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar → Diagnostic Logs

Clicking Diagnostic Logs opens a confirmation modal.

Click Download Logs to download the file.
The modal also includes a link to contact our support team, which opens your email client so you can send the downloaded file directly for further investigation.
2. From the Error Page
If a page fails to load entirely, AskYura shows a "Something went wrong on our end" page with a Download Logs button alongside Go to Homepage.

3. From the App Reload Modal
If the application runs into an issue while loading, an "App reload needed" modal appears with Refresh Now and Download Logs buttons.

4. From the Reconnecting Banner
If AskYura is having trouble reconnecting, a banner appears at the top of the dashboard with a Download Logs link.

What's in the File
Clicking any Download Logs button or link downloads a zip archive containing diagnostic data about your session, so support can investigate without needing you to manually gather this information.
Best Practices
To help support resolve your issue as quickly as possible:
- Download the diagnostic log as soon as the issue occurs, since it captures details from your current session.
- Attach the downloaded file when reaching out to support, instead of describing the technical details manually.
- Avoid sharing diagnostic logs publicly, since they may include technical details about your session.
