Managing Contacts in a Group
Adding Contacts
There are two ways to add contacts to a group:
-
From the group detail page — Open the group and click Add Contacts to select contacts from your contact list.

-
From a contact profile — Open an individual contact's profile and assign them to one or more groups.
Removing Contacts
To remove a contact from a group, open the group detail page and click the Remove action next to the contact you want to remove. The contact is not deleted — it is simply removed from the group.
Using Contact Groups
Contact groups integrate with other AskYura features to enhance your workflow:
- Targeted messaging — Send messages or announcements to specific groups of contacts
- Filtering — Use groups as a filter when searching or browsing your contact list
- Automation — Reference groups in automation rules to trigger actions for specific customer segments
- Reporting — Analyze customer interactions and behavior by group for more targeted insights
Managing Groups
Editing a Group
Click the Edit action on any group to update its name or description.
Deleting a Group
Click the Delete action to remove a group. This does not delete the contacts within the group — they remain in your contact list and can be assigned to other groups.
Use contact groups to segment your customers based on meaningful criteria such as subscription tier, geographic region, or product interest. Well-organized groups make it easier to deliver personalized experiences and manage your customer base at scale.
