Image Handling

The Image Handling tool allows your bot to understand images from users and send relevant images from articles in response.

When this tool is enabled, customers can send images such as screenshots, photos, or visual references as part of their conversation, and the bot can use the image content as additional context when generating its response. The bot can also send back relevant images from the knowledge base articles when they help answer the customer's question.

This is useful in scenarios where visual information is important, for example:

  • Customers reporting visual issues or errors
  • Users sharing screenshots for clarification
  • Product-related questions that involve images

You can navigate to Bots → Select your bot → Tools → Preset → Image Handling


Configuration

Unlike other Preset tools, Image Handling has no additional settings to configure. Use the toggle on the card to turn the tool on or off for the bot.


Best Practices

  • Enable this tool if customers commonly share screenshots or photos when reporting issues, so the bot has the visual context it needs to respond accurately
